7 out of 10

Woody Allen https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/02/annie-hall-screenplay-by-woody-allen.html was once nec plus ultra, crème de la crème, he could not go wrong, his comedies were sophisticated, challenging, dazzling, you could even enjoy a drama by this special auteur, or a thriller, murder mystery, as in…

Manhattan Murder Mystery, nevertheless, as some critics have pointed out, but not when those oeuvres were the toast of the festivals, even the Oscars, where the man has won four Academy Awards, in more recent years, some have observed (or is it most, maybe all relevant partis) that there is a redundancy in the scripts.

Worse still, the film maker appears to encourage a sort of malevolent, pernicious relationship, that between a (much) older man and a very young, often ignorant, vulnerable female, maybe I should think of Intellectuals https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/01/intellectuals-by-paul-johnson.html by Paul Johnson

In this marvelous book, Paul Johnson offers details about the dark side of impressive Intellectuals, Leo Tolstoy, Henrik Ibsen, Ernest Hemingway, Jean Jacques Rousseau, the latter has abandoned his children at the door of an orphanage, at a time when nine out of ten innocents would die in those circumstances, so what about Allen?

On the one hand, like here, in this adaptation for the Radio Theater, the protagonist is quite comical, we laugh at his expense, and we could argue that the author is using some sort of self-criticism, self-deprecating humor, because we can see he is behind the ‘hero’, who looks much more like a sort of fall guy…

https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/01/games-people-play-by-eric-berne.html Games People Play, a classic of psychology by Eric Berne, comes to the stage, for the most common interaction is called If It Weren’t For You, spouses accuse their partners of standing in the way of their progress, achievement, wealth, etc.

this is one reason why this comedy – translated here as How You Seduce Women, approximately, which sounds like something that awful Tate does, and anyway, it may be that they were not really inspired by Death, but that is what they said, so this may work as a spoiler alert, I work with the material at hand, as they said here –

makes me rather sad, for we do not have a harmonious connection here, there is no relationship in many ways, and I should go and read again https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/03/the-seven-principles-of-making-marriage.html The Seven Principles of Making Marriage Work, if only the economy would get better!
