The Thin Blue Line written and directed by Errol Morris is one of The New York Times’ Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made – it is on their list, you can take the challenge at their site and see how many of those films you have seen, my number is at 778, but I am going through almost one every day, unless I take up some of the most recent – Blue Moon https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/12/blue-moon-written-by-lorenz-hart-robert.html is number one in my book, for 2025, just as Ethan Hawke would get the Oscar, if my vote would be decisive, and evidently, if I were a voting member of the Academy, here I give the trophies, so there it is

I have been rather put off by some of the films from The New York Times’ Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made that I have seen lately, for instance Women in Love https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2026/02/women-in-love-written-by-larry-kramer.html which is not bad, but coming with (too) high expectations it does not overwhelm

Ergo, it is wonderful to come across an excellent feature, such as The Thin Blue Line – incidentally, we have had Jim Caviezel of The Thin Red Line https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/08/the-thin-red-line-based-on-novel-by.html at our gym and sauna and we regretted his presence, he is not just MAGA, but worse

The Thin Blue Line is a documentary, and we are stupefied by the story told with such talent, by the writer director, in that he uses actors to give us an idea about the scene of the crime, how they were positioned and other details, helping the audience to visualize what had happened in the night of the crime

This has happened in Texas, and malefic as I am, I would remark ‘no wonder’, seeing as they have voted for the Orange Caligula – I except the friends I have there, and I hope they are not with MAGA, which would actually mean we would not be friends any more, since that would mean we live in different worlds

A policeman approaches a car that is stopped and the driver shoots him dead, although it appears that the cop just wanted to tell him that the lights are off, and he would probably do nothing else, this is a tragedy not just for the victim, but for somebody else, I am not sure at this point about spoiler alerts and their utility

On the one hand, it feels pretentious, as if I presume people read this, and they even reach this far, which could not be the case, I do not have the time to go through the ‘reviews’ of ‘friends on Goodreads or anywhere, yes, I give likes left and right, but not based on an analysis, indeed, looking at the titles of many books, I would rather ‘dislike’

Influence https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/03/influence-psychology-of-persuasion.html by Robert Cialdini is a classic of psychology and one of the rules there is Reciprocity, otherwise, this is why we give likes to each other, and it explains many other things…the police in Dallas County want to punish somebody

If they get the killer, fine, but if they do not, well, they may as well get Randall Adams – the spoiler alert is presumed above, I think – to me, he is the epitome of the innocent, the proverbial scape goat, sold down the river by the real monster of the story, David Harris, the latter tells his friends that he had killed the cop

Nevertheless, he is under the age at which he can be executed, at the time when the police get to him, and since they want death for this, they fall on poor Randall Adams, who was twenty-seven at the time, and David Harris is offered a deal, you testify against Adams, and we do not take you to prison, maybe for life

Furthermore, they get another three scoundrels to cooperate, for the reward money and other benefits, all this operation in order to electrocute an innocent man – the Supreme Court rules in favor of Randall, except for some technicality, they just commute the death penalty, and lock him in for life instead, looking at Orange Ivan The Terrible and his cult, no wonder this happened

Now for my standard closing of the note with a question, and invitation – I am on Goodreads as Realini Ionescu, at least for the moment, if I keep on expressing my views on Orange Woland aka TACO, it may be a short-lived presence

Also, maybe you have a good idea on how we could make more than a million dollars with this https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/09/do-you-have-any-feedback.html – as it is, this is a unique technique, which we could promote, sell, open the Oscars show with or something and then make lots of money together, if you have the how, I have the product, I just do not know how to get the benefits from it, other than the exercise per se

There is also the small matter of working for AT&T – this huge company asked me to be its Representative for Romania and Bulgaria, on the Calling Card side, which meant sailing into the Black Sea wo meet the US Navy ships, travelling to Sofia, a lot of activity, using my mother’s two bedrooms flat as office and warehouse, all for the grand total of $250, raised after a lot of persuasion to the staggering $400…with retirement ahead, there are no benefits, nothing…it is a longer story, but if you can help get the mastodont to pay some dues, or have an idea how it can happen, let me know

As for my role in the Revolution that killed Ceausescu, a smaller Mao, there it is http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/realini-in-newsweek-participant-in.html

Some favorite quotes from To The Hermitage and other works

‘Fiction is infinitely preferable to real life...As long as you avoid the books of Kafka or Beckett, the everlasting plot of fiction has fewer futile experiences than the careless plot of reality...Fiction's people are fuller, deeper, cleverer, more moving than those in real life…Its actions are more intricate, illuminating, noble, profound…There are many more dramas, climaxes, romantic fulfillment, twists, turns, gratified resolutions…Unlike reality, all of this you can experience without leaving the house or even getting out of bed…What's more, books are a form of intelligent human greatness, as stories are a higher order of sense…As random life is to destiny, so stories are to great authors, who provided us with some of the highest pleasures and the most wonderful mystifications we can find…Few stories are greater than Anna Karenina, that wise epic by an often foolish author…’
