Blue Moon written by Lorenz Hart, Robert Kaplow and Elizabeth Weiland is not just one of the best films of 2025, it has entered my Top 200 – I was thinking that this is probably the best motion picture I have seen this year, so far, I still have One Battle After Another, critics say this is probably going to win Oscar for best movie, notwithstanding that, you have more than five thousand notes on films from The New York Times’ Best 1,000 Ever Made list and others, along with reviews of magnum opera from The Greatest Books of All Time and other web pages on my blog and YouTube channel https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/09/do-you-have-any-feedback.html if you visit, maybe you have something to say

Blue Moon was ravishing, sparkling for this cinephile and I must say that I want to see it again, soon, perhaps when Hannah, my daughter, comes home from Amsterdam – we have this ritual of seeing some movies together, it will be One Battle After Another, not Bugonia, because she has already watched it, No Other Choice and others…

House of Dynamite  https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/10/a-house-of-dynamite-directed-by-kathryn.html is also excellent in my book, Frankenstein was stopped after ten minutes or so, actually, it was going ahead, there, in the background, I just did not pay attention to it, except for seconds, in between segments

Ethan Hawke has the leading role of Lorenz Hart “best known as the lyricist half of the successful songwriting team of Rodgers and Hart (as in Richard Rodgers)” a man who has the worst night and we get to see it in the narrative, as the successful Oklahoma! Opens, his partner had worked with another writer

Lorenz Hart had had problems with alcoholism and Richard Rodgers aka Andrew Scott (formidable in the recent series The Talented Mr. Ripley) had to find another lyricist, however, they talk at some point and they have some plan to get together again, what we get before the final credits is another matter, to see what would happen with the personages

Ethan Hawke https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2024/01/leave-world-behind-by-rumaan-alam.html is seen as the favorite to win the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, Variety has predictions and they look at what critics and the buzz say and if they ask me, I agree completely, it a fantastic performance

Furthermore, the dialogue is witty, dazzling and it has won the Oscar and my special trophy already, no matter how much I have already enjoyed A House of Dynamite – Bugonia is not one the same level, I have only seen about twenty minutes, but enough to have an opinion, according to Malcolm Gladwell and The Thin Slicing Theory

Blink  https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/01/blink-power-of-thinking-without.html demonstrates that we form opinions in under one minute and there is The Harding Effect, tested at the highest level, when they looked at the CEOs of the Top 500 Fortune companies and found that about a third are very tall, and in the population at large that height is specific to just about 3% of (mostly) men, ergo, it was not the CVs

Richard Linklater is the fabulous director, he had worked with Ethan Hawke before, for Boyhood, a spectacular work of art, in which they filmed for years, then the mesmerizing Before Sunset, Before Midnight motion pictures that are smart, among the best of all time, just like Blue Moon is a revelation and must-see chef d’oeuvre

Finally, Bobby Cannavale and the rest of the cast are majestic, especially Margaret Qualley, I first saw her in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/05/once-upon-timein-hollywood-written-and.html, but she was glorious in The Substance and now Blue Moon, following in the footsteps of her mother, superb Andie MacDowell

Now for my standard closing of the note with a question, and invitation – I am on Goodreads as Realini Ionescu, at least for the moment, if I keep on expressing my views on Orange Woland aka TACO, it may be a short-lived presence

Also, maybe you have a good idea on how we could make more than a million dollars with this https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/09/do-you-have-any-feedback.html – as it is, this is a unique technique, which we could promote, sell, open the Oscars show with or something and then make lots of money together, if you have the how, I have the product, I just do not know how to get the benefits from it, other than the exercise per se

There is also the small matter of working for AT&T – this huge company asked me to be its Representative for Romania and Bulgaria, on the Calling Card side, which meant sailing into the Black Sea wo meet the US Navy ships, travelling to Sofia, a lot of activity, using my mother’s two bedrooms flat as office and warehouse, all for the grand total of $250, raised after a lot of persuasion to the staggering $400…with retirement ahead, there are no benefits, nothing…it is a longer story, but if you can help get the mastodont to pay some dues, or have an idea how it can happen, let me know

As for my role in the Revolution that killed Ceausescu, a smaller Mao, there it is http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/realini-in-newsweek-participant-in.html

Some favorite quotes from To The Hermitage and other works

‘Fiction is infinitely preferable to real life...As long as you avoid the books of Kafka or Beckett, the everlasting plot of fiction has fewer futile experiences than the careless plot of reality...Fiction's people are fuller, deeper, cleverer, more moving than those in real life…Its actions are more intricate, illuminating, noble, profound…There are many more dramas, climaxes, romantic fulfillment, twists, turns, gratified resolutions…Unlike reality, all of this you can experience without leaving the house or even getting out of bed…What's more, books are a form of intelligent human greatness, as stories are a higher order of sense…As random life is to destiny, so stories are to great authors, who provided us with some of the highest pleasures and the most wonderful mystifications we can find…Few stories are greater than Anna Karenina, that wise epic by an often foolish author…’
