The Stories included in the Red Cavalry are astounding https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/09/the-cemetery-of-kozin-by-isaac-babel-is.html in themselves, and they have a special significance because they are about the war between the then Soviet Union and Poland – or was it before the USSR was born, no matter – and we could see this repeating, only this time it would be NATO versus Russia, the latter is really pushing for it
