In the present climate (change) this reader has mixed feelings about America, for on the one hand, it had long been Dreamland, as close as one can get to paradise on earth and he has had the chance to visit twice, work for an American giant (AT&T), offer hospitality packages to American institutions here, in his land, from the US Embassy and ambassadors (about three of them) to USAID, Peace Corps and more and thus he was blessed with the chance to come into contact with that culture, various friendly Americans (most of them, for I guess there had been very few republicans on exploring missions all the way east)

 

A cousin and best friend long ago used to say that he dreams with Eyes Wide Shut that we will become one day another American state and we will see their flag waving somewhere near, and the under signed had tried to get his position in this land, where he was promoting the AT&T calling card as Representative for Romania & Bulgaria moved to New Jersey, of for that matter elsewhere in the USA…

Now that we see at the news and learn much more form the Reign of Terror how the Land of the Free has turned into a mad place where about 40% (and even if it is quite a few percentages less, it is still scary and awful) of Americans believe the elections have been stolen and the Very Stable Genius (appallingly, he has called himself that, at the same time showing the clear symptoms of Narcissistic Personality Disorder and making a fool of himself again) is the real ‘Beloved Leader’ , the One Chosen by God

 

With more than one hundred million citizens believing such nonsense, showing such poor ability to understand (though I love a term read in Bear and His Daughter by Robert Stone http://realini.blogspot.com/2021/09/bear-and-his-daughter-by-robert-stone.html namely Overstand as opposed to understand, which a Vincentian says that it is weak and lame)the world we live in that they create an Alternative reality…

Indeed, Alternative facts aka lies have been a favorite of Trump, even before he became the most powerful man on earth, and those ‘alternative facts’ have now become the new reality for the supporters he has in the Red states…

 

Spencer Ackerman explains how the Trump presidency became possible and shows with detachment and mostly a balanced view the mistakes made by both sides, highlighting some of the monstrosities that happened under the Orange Man…

 

One example that comes to mind is the march of the leftist protestors, during which they have been under severe attacks, while the president went on for a photo opportunity, with the Chief of Staff in camouflage uniform…

Later on, the same general would take a very strong stand against Trump and his potential excesses, something we learn from the recently released book Peril by Bob Woodward and Robert Acosta, both from the Washington Post.

It has transpired in the headlines on CNN, BBC and all over the world that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has talked with Madame Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi (the second in line in the USA).

 

Speaker Pelosi has said to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that ‘Trump is crazy, he had been crazy before and You know he is crazy’ to which the general responded with ‘Madame Speaker, I agree with you on everything’

Then he took steps to ensure that the Mad Man would not be able to launch a nuclear attack, seeing as he is crazy and then he wanted to keep the job no matter what and under any circumstances…

 

We have all seen the disaster on January 6, which for the aforementioned one hundred million people that worship what would be called in their religious books Satan was not a rebellion of terrorists

If the republicans get the upper hand in America, we will all be in trouble, for it is clear that this is not the old GOP, but a cult movement in which members are willing to do anything their corrupt leader asks…

 

Some decades ago, there was a cult that took its members to Guyana, where they committed mass suicide (some have escaped to tell the tale, but hundreds died) due in part to the Respect for Authority Principle of Influence
