Radu Paraschivescu is one of the most respectable, successful intellectuals in our realm, a sage who combines the works that make people laugh, with much more serious novels, and to top all that, he is also a…soccer commentator, I am not sure what he imparts there, but when switching between channels, I see him explaining matches

 

Indeed, this is why his name came up at the Sauna Downtown, when some mates were discussing a rather loathsome coach (he would be a prototype in the Rude Man’s Guide, if somehow he is not there) who has a relative, nephew or some other, in a very serious condition, strangers donated to alleviate that, but this trainer did not

The name of the author was mentioned, because he is a guest on these shows, perhaps a contributor, and the members of the club expressed their admiration for the luminary, who is apparently a very decent human being, alongside his qualities as author, public figure, I think he is also an editor, and probably more

 

The Guide of The Rude is both amusing, and very useful in a few ways, the satire might help some of those who could be redeemed to see the perils of their behavior, the bystanders would see the signs and try to avoid those ruffians, as much as they could, and it also helps readers to see that their experiences are not isolated

Indeed, the arrogance displayed by these creatures is incredible, and the book could serve as a confirmation of values, rules of behavior, in that we have Orange Jesus, which is the name given to him by leaders of the cult that worships the fool now, once the leader of the free world, who is Nesimtit, Rude and ghastly

 

Only this seems to be a behavior that is accepted alas, in America and elsewhere, this type of ruthless man (there are some women, too many in fact, in this crazy MAGA camp) becomes the role model for millions, only in the US, he has over seventy million admirers, and he could well win the elections, ergo Apocalypse Now

The portrait exposed in The Guide of The Rude would cause laughter, because so many excesses are preposterous, but this lack of character, restraint, modesty, decency could be more than trouble, the future will be affected if multitudes start taking guidance from this attitude, and the likes of Trump, Putin…

Confidence Man https://realini.blogspot.com/2023/09/confidence-man-making-of-donald-trump.html is an excellent book by Maggie Haberman, a reporter with The New York times and regular guest on CNN, a remarkable journalist and writer, and the ‘making of Donald Trump’ shows us how we get a Rude Man, and then he takes over

 

The bully becomes a model for success, albeit we would have to look at the term and define ‘success’, if it means getting power, privileges, fame and hundreds of millions of fans (we must count the multitudes outside America, who are also amorous) then a good number of those ghouls have been triumphant

We have had some arguments at the aforementioned club, where my position is more radical, after identifying the Rude, my duty is to try and state my position, and if they do not change their stance, I avoid them, if they are in the hot sauna, I enter the hammam, and vice versa, but my buddies opt for ‘tolerance’

Let me just write about this fella (by the way, the interlocutors at this social club try to limit the topics to those who are present, and only the positive about the absent – this book and so many others would not be written, if we apply these norms) who has this peculiar, narcissistic manner, a sort of small Orange Jesus

 

First, he imposed the ‘vow of silence’, he does not want others to communicate in the sauna, hence they have to shut up (we have asked the club and they said there is no such interdiction), then he is against the special solutions that are used there, and indeed, the management had a ban on those, so the others refrained from making the atmosphere pleasantly odorous, in circumstances where we had five votes to one

This Rude guy, and he is not a rara avis, picks the rules he likes, because on another day, he comes into the sauna, and puts water on the hot stones, not once, twice, thrice, but four times, I mean are you for real, what the hell is this, you forbid the conversation between five people, embalming solutions, and then choose whatever you like and say this is a good rule of the house, but for the others, fuck them, we respect only what I want, for the rest, we do the opposite of what is required!

 There is also the small matter of working for AT&T – this huge company asked me to be its Representative for Romania and Bulgaria, on the Calling Card side, which meant sailing into the Black Sea wo meet the US Navy ships, travelling to Sofia, a lot of activity, using my mother’s two bedrooms flat as office and warehouse, all for the grand total of $250, raised after a lot of persuasion to the staggering $400…with retirement ahead, there are no benefits, nothing…it is a longer story, but if you can help get the mastodont to pay some dues, or have an idea how it can happen, let me know
