Clint Eastwood https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2024/09/unforgiven-by-david-webb-peoples-my.html is one of the greatest film makers of all time, despite the fact that he is a republican, I just hope he is not MAGA (which for me means gaga, in the sense of mentally challenged), Unforgiven is one of my Top 50 Movies

 

Almost every day now, on the Public Station they have documentaries about thespians, directors, and Clint Eastwood was on the other night, with The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, his status could be called ‘polyamorous’, notwithstanding his conservatism, he has been quite progressive from this point of view, married to more than one woman we could say

He is the director and star of Absolute Power, a thriller which has a killing, political drama, and even some humor, it made me think of this ludicrous https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/01/confidence-man-making-of-donald-trump.html buffoon, who wants Absolute Power, and alas, he has managed to accumulate a lot

 

Luther Whitney is played by Clint Eastwood, he is a thief who gets inside this mansion, and while stealing from the place, a couple come into the house, and the intruder can witness their foreplay, which turns rather violent, and then while the woman is on top, trying to pay back for the assault, she is shot dead

We have just heard the preposterous story of the Orange Caligula hiding in a food truck, because he had accepted bribes, one of them in the form of an opulent plane, given by the dictator of Qatar, one of the tens of thousands of abject acts committed by what I see as the epitome of evil, foolishness, the ultimate Con Man

There is a sense that the motion picture describes children’s games, when we compare what happens on screen to what has become reality, over these years when the (once free, respectable) world has been led by an idiot https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/01/games-people-play-by-eric-berne.html who wants Absolute Power

  In The Fade aka Auf Dem Nichts, written by Hark Bohm and Fatih Akin In The Fade has won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, although in this cinephile's opinion, Una Mujer Fantastica- which has won the Oscar in the same category- Nelyubov or The Square would have been better choices. Having said that, Auf Dem Nichts is a very good, significant, remarkable feature, that attracts attention to violence against minorities, in this case the Kurdish community in Germany. It is therefore not one sided, we do not have only Muslim lunatics killing innocent "infidels", but also some extreme Europeans murdering the other side. The problem is that, unacceptable, horrifying and vile as these acts are, it appears that the overwhelming majority of atrocities are committed by zealots acting in the name of Islam- radical and unrepresentative as they are for this supposedly peaceful faith, although there are passages in its holy book that seem to insist on a violent jihad and ultimat...
