Vanessa Redgrave https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2026/05/foxcatcher-screenplay-by-max-frye-and.html has a leading role in Morgan A suitable Case for Treatment, she was nominated for an Oscar for her performance, as well as for other awards, and if she did act radiantly in quite a few features, this film failed to impress me

 

This is a subjective note, and furthermore, you have all that is relevant above: the fact that the motion picture has been appreciated, it is one of The New York Times’ Best 1,000 Movies Ever Made, though I do not see why, and I could not see the reason, ‘be a merit finder, not a fault finder’ might the guiding principle here

There are some humorous scenes – for those who enjoy this, surely there are many – one that I found somewhat funny, but also absurd and rather ludicrous, is when Morgan aka David Warner acts like a primate – he has a rival and he chases this individual, attacking the car, and this could be amusing, but also preposterous

I was reminded of the destruction of a car in a fabulous work, a novel by Magister Ludi Kingsley Amis – A Fat Englishman https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2026/06/one-fat-englishman-by-kingsley-amis-is.html Roger is in America for some time, and has sex with various women, the author himself was very busy with that, while he was teaching in the US

 

Vanessa Redgrave has the small role of the mother in Foxcatcher, a motion picture that I have seen again, recently, I was even worried that the two trainers I have downtown might kill each other too- this was only jesting with them, we are friends, and they just give me advise, Thomas Mann was not so generous with some words:

This character from a work by Thomas Mann was saying…Vanessa Redgrave had a much more important role in Blow Up https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2023/12/blow-up-written-and-directed-by.html which must have been the one to launch her successful career…I will also refer to Blink by Malcolm Gladwell to explain why I knew early on that Morgan is not for me

  In The Fade aka Auf Dem Nichts, written by Hark Bohm and Fatih Akin In The Fade has won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, although in this cinephile's opinion, Una Mujer Fantastica- which has won the Oscar in the same category- Nelyubov or The Square would have been better choices. Having said that, Auf Dem Nichts is a very good, significant, remarkable feature, that attracts attention to violence against minorities, in this case the Kurdish community in Germany. It is therefore not one sided, we do not have only Muslim lunatics killing innocent "infidels", but also some extreme Europeans murdering the other side. The problem is that, unacceptable, horrifying and vile as these acts are, it appears that the overwhelming majority of atrocities are committed by zealots acting in the name of Islam- radical and unrepresentative as they are for this supposedly peaceful faith, although there are passages in its holy book that seem to insist on a violent jihad and ultimat...
