The 80/20 Principle: The Secret to Achieving More with Less

Revelation? Towards the end of the book- yes, unexpectedly the book started to get more and more interesting, imparting  with wisdom from various psychologists, from Maslow, Goldman to Seligman.

The book gives priceless advice on ...happiness. one suggestion which appeals to me is – Exercise!

After a long period of laziness, I started exercising and I can confirm what Koch says and experiments prove: exercise makes wonders for your body and your mind.

Other pieces of advise include: stimulate your mind, share a break with a friend, be altruistic, give yourself a treat and ...congratulate yourself.

People who are happy improve the chances of happiness for  their parteners, those who are not happy decrease their partner’s shot at happiness. Happy people live better, healthier and longer lives...we learned that from dr. Seligman- Learned Optimism.

With only 20% read from this book, I wanted to stop and put it on the shelf. That would be to apply its principle: with 20% of effort, reading, time spent, etc  we get 80% of knowledge, profit, even happiness: 80% of our happiness comes from 80% of the time.

This principle, repeated too much, turned me off for long passages in the first part. As I stated, towards the end, I discovered the important truths that the book contains.

I hope I did not miss all that much in the first chapters.
