I failed to get the best of this

 

This is part of a series of books that I did not like.

Very likely…it is not the books, but the mood, Sophie or Samoa’s illness.

Maybe even the director of the French Lyceum played a role.

He really pissed me off by preventing me from coming with the bike to the premises- they have children smashing windows and then playing with the dangerous hubris and he considers a bike (eco friendly, but I guess this information has not reached this pompous arrogant little man) a threat.

Too concerned and angry with these developments I failed to give attention to this work.

Sorry.
