The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertold Brecht
The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertold Brecht
Outside my Chalk, rather limited Circle of interest
For some yet undetermined reason, Brecht proves too much for my limited attention span.
But he will help me establish a record, I guess- my shortest note yet.
For, except that I did not like it and could not keep my attention focused on the play, what else there may be to say.
Of course, I could delve into my usual descriptions of what happened to me and why I could not listen to the play, and then speculate on the cast-George Constantin always gets my attention, no matter what the subject of the play is…
But what would be the point.
Many people love Brecht, maybe you will.
I don’t dig. Maybe with another play:
Both Arturo Ui and The Chalk Circle did not mean much to me.
Too old fashioned might be one reason- I mean the reader, not the modernistic plays.
