The story of Dracula is one of the best known in the world, at least as far as ‘blood sucking vampire’ goes, his land is also familiar to many more than would see it as part of the country I come from, Transylvania is recognized more as the realm of the count than the ‘land across the forests’, coming from Latin

I owe gratitude to Bram Stoker and the fictional count, perhaps even to the real Vlad Tepes aka Vlad The Impaler – actually, it might stand to reason to thank more the latter, seeing as you need the original, the inspiration, in order to produce the fiction, someone really fierce and terrible, like the Son of Dracul

Many if not most of those who came to this place wanted to see ‘Dracula’s Castle’, or even went for a Dracula Tour, which meant more than just Bran, would take visitors to Sighisoara, the birth place of the count aka the ruling prince that has inspired Bram Stoker, often the alleged burial spot, at Snagov…

In 1989 we had a Revolution that took Ceausescu out, literally and metaphorically, in which I have played a part of which I am so proud that I will mention this again, at the end, when I will offer a link, which is always a sign out for these notes, you can see the copy of the page in Newsweek, where they refer to my participation

We could connect Ceausescu to Vlad the Impaler and thus Dracula, a few bloodthirsty figures, ruling though fear, but these days I see Orange Jesus (as called by leaders of his party of scoundrels and bigots) as very close to being a present day Dracula – our era does not sound right, it refers to Christians…

Vlad the Impaler used torture and killing to stay in power, some of the stories connected with him are as gruesome as to attract the attention of the Irish writer, albeit what he did was not exactly awkward in the context of the Middle Ages when Western kings and aristocrats beheaded multitudes, even their wives – Henry VIII

His intense activities would offer material for long trips, my business used to be what today they call Hospitality and what better way to connect with guests than share with them tales of Horror and execution – it seems the favorite for Dracula aka Vlad was impaling, hence the name, putting victims on top of sticks and pulling them hard

Nonetheless, it was not the only means, and let me dazzle, enchant you with some other rapturing morsels – once, he asked the homeless, beggars, if they want to change, finish this life of pain and suffering, and when they said evidently, His Grace gathered them for a lavish meal, and then…set them all on fire

We learn from the History Boys http://realini.blogspot.com/2016/06/history-boys-by-alan-bennett-really.html and other marvelous works that history is not as accurate as we would like to think, in this gem, we are told “History is a commentary on the various and continuing incapabilities of men. What is history? History is women following behind with the bucket…” for Dracula, it must have been a lot of blood to clean out

At least if we accept legends, hearsay and lines put in by enemies, the victorious (that is another cliché, history is written by the winners) but we have huge reversals, if we investigate – even the ‘well known’ case of Richard III has been upturned recently, when it was established that he was the victim of myth making

‘now is the winter of our discontent turned into glorious summer by this son of York, and all the clouds that lured upon our sky, in the deep bosom of the ocean buried’ however, the Dark Monarch was not what Shakespeare told us, what we saw in the various adaptations and films like The Goodbye Girl

The Daughter of Time http://realini.blogspot.com/2020/10/the-daughter-of-time-by-josephine-fey.html by Josephine Fey is listed by the British Crime Writers Association as the best detective story, on their compilation of the 100 Best, and for good reason, the hero unravels one of the most important mysteries of all time

The same novel is somewhere at five, on the American list of the Writers of Mystery Novels, and what we find from reading the book is that Richard III was in fact a good royalty, recently they have discovered his remains and the reputation has been restored, the king re-included on the list of British monarchs

Nevertheless, we are not going to find some extraordinary new truth about Vlad the Impaler, and Dracula is only sharing a few aspects with the real prince, the latter did not drink blood, and if he was somewhat cruel for our standards, we should reflect more, on what happens in Ukraine, where Russian Dracula wages war

There are horrible things happening in the present, one of them being that Orange Dracula could well be coming to the helm of the free world, if he is elected next year, again, by vampires, people who admire a fool, tyrant

Now for a question, and invitation – maybe you have a good idea on how we could make more than a million dollars with this http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/02/unique-in-world.html?q=unique+in+the+world – as it is, this is a unique technique, which we could promote, sell, open the Oscars show with or something and then make lots of money together, if you have the how, I have the product, I just do not know how to get the befits from it, other than the exercise per se

As for my role in the Revolution that killed Ceausescu, a smaller Mao, there it is http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/realini-in-newsweek-participant-in.html

Some favorite quotes from To The Heritage and other works

‘Fiction is infinitely preferable to real life...As long as you avoid the books of Kafka or Beckett, the everlasting plot of fiction has fewer futile experiences than the careless plot of reality...Fiction's people are fuller, deeper, cleverer, more moving than those in real life…Its actions are more intricate, illuminating, noble, profound…There are many more dramas, climaxes, romantic fulfillment, twists, turns, gratified resolutions…Unlike reality, all of this you can experience without leaving the house or even getting out of bed…What's more, books are a form of intelligent human greatness, as stories are a higher order of sense…As random life is to destiny, so stories are to great authors, who provided us with some of the highest pleasures and the most wonderful mystifications we can find…Few stories are greater than Anna Karenina, that wise epic by an often foolish author…’

‚parturiunt montes, nascetur ridiculus mus’

“From Monty Python - The Meaning of Life...Well, it's nothing very special...Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.”
