Zalman wants his son, Gavriel aka Gabik Rappaport, to leave university and study with Rabbi Seligman but then he starts working with Godl in growing cucumbers cabbage shiksas swoon over him – then, because of the advise of the rabbi, he is snet to the uncle and then ready to marry elder, Ettele

Mulik Durmashkin is supposed to marry Asna, Zalman’s daughter but his sympathies fro the USSr horrify the would be wife

The rabbi, presumably before the divorce, pestered his wife, went to the shop, extended credit to people he did not know, and she was upset, did she need to risk her life for both of them?

It was a pacoste he did not want her to compete to fiercely, not spend too much time, God will provide, nt the store

 

Finally, she had enough, asked for divorce

Later, with Poles comig in, Soviest destroyed business

She leaves for her parents place and gives the keys to the shop and some money to her ex husband

 

Batsheva, widow of Zalman comes to the Rabbi to see if her son is progressing in his studies and then starts shopping from his store

He advised her to take the debtors who would not pay to Rabbinical court, and even polish court…we areb not leaving in a jungle

  In The Fade aka Auf Dem Nichts, written by Hark Bohm and Fatih Akin In The Fade has won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Film, although in this cinephile's opinion, Una Mujer Fantastica- which has won the Oscar in the same category- Nelyubov or The Square would have been better choices. Having said that, Auf Dem Nichts is a very good, significant, remarkable feature, that attracts attention to violence against minorities, in this case the Kurdish community in Germany. It is therefore not one sided, we do not have only Muslim lunatics killing innocent "infidels", but also some extreme Europeans murdering the other side. The problem is that, unacceptable, horrifying and vile as these acts are, it appears that the overwhelming majority of atrocities are committed by zealots acting in the name of Islam- radical and unrepresentative as they are for this supposedly peaceful faith, although there are passages in its holy book that seem to insist on a violent jihad and ultimat...
