The undersigned has been familiarized somewhat with the investigative reporting of Bob Woodward from reading Fear http://realini.blogspot.com/2018/09/fear-trump-in-white-house-by-bob.html Rage http://realini.blogspot.com/2020/09/rage-by-bob-woodward-9-out-of-10.html and of course from reading about The Watergate Scandal and watching the classic All The President’s Men, where Bob Woodward was played by Robert Redford and Carl Bernstein was portrayed by Dustin Hoffman, in a film whose script was written by the legendary William Goldman, winner of the Oscar for this feature…

 

William Goldman has written a classic book on Hollywood, making movies, actors, their shenanigans, Adventures in the Screen Trade http://realini.blogspot.com/2017/02/adventures-in-screen-trade-by-william.html which looks at the making of All the President’s Men (and how vicious Redford was on that occasion), how Carl Bernstein was brought into the picture, after Goldman had worked for so long on the script…

We have all seen Trump in action over the years of his presidency and alas, even after he had left the White House (unwillingly and making such a huge fuss about it) he has kept making mischief and he is still denying the win of Joe Biden and keeps talking about the Big Steal, indifferent to the fact that this is shaking democracy and ultimately, he will have disastrous effects for his country, which he claims to love.

 

That is all for show, the kissing of the flag, which comedians have exposed and used in their stand up acts, waiting for him to ‘hump the flag’, while in practice, this egomaniac is all for getting power, no matter under what circumstances and he will have a disastrous influence around the world, as America is weakened, those who use it as model will see the calamitous weaknesses and will feel unprotected and confused.

China is threatening Taiwan and bullying countries in the South China Sea (and all around, they even use punitive measures, restricting trade with Australia, because the latter’s government has asked for more information on the origins of Covid, is it from the market place or maybe it was leaked from a lab, and they also retaliate against anyone who sees the Dalai Lama [such a serene, blessed man, but for the Chinese authoritarians he is an enemy] and countries like Sweden have been cold shouldered or worse by the tyranny) and we could think that the weakness they saw under Trump could be part of the reason.

 

Yes, it is surely a long stretch and we could not put everything wrong in the world on the shoulders of such a weak (the main explanation for all the boasting, the claims that he is a Very Stable Genius, he has such a ‘big brain’ and all the rest is that he is in fact needy, sick, the Narcissistic Personality Disorder has been more or less confirmed) but when enemies see the internal strife, the occupation of one of the main symbols of democracy by a violent Trump summoned and inspired mob, the chaos and lack of leadership, they draw their conclusions and now despotic China claims its tyranny is the better, winning model.

 

One of the explosive revelations in the book refers to the communications between General Milley and his Chinese counterpart, where the former tried to reassure the latter and say that the US will not attack for some stupid reason, for he was worried that Trump would do anything to keep his seat at the top (indeed, he has summoned and launched a human missile at Congress, to overturn the results of fair and free elections, which he has kept calling a fraud) including provoking an international crisis.

The scenario is known from the Hollywood movie Wag the Dog http://realini.blogspot.com/2017/08/note-on-wag-dog-directed-by-barry.html with Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman and other legendary actors, in which the American president is launching a war to distract the attention from the problems he has at home…in fact, declaring Martial Law and all sorts of crazy scenarios have been considered by the Orange Fool and his acolytes and it is extraordinary to see what had happened on January 6, 2021 and the impact it still has across the ocean and how republicans deny it.

 

Nay, they take that monstrous outrage and change it, turning it around, calling the shaman with the horns and all the other ‘deplorables (and yes, Hilary Clinton was right, she should not have said it, for it damaged her image and all that, but the label is correct and I am happy that few, if any read this, note, never mind reach this far, for I will not get canceled or insulted for saying this, but Trump is just the face of a phenomenon, the symptom, not the cause of the disease and those who still look at the idiot and declare him the Chosen One are deplorables) patriots and demanding their release, refusing to testify.

Somebody was saying in a podcast of The Economist that the republicans used to be for ‘Small Government’ and now they are ‘Anti-Government’, in that whenever there is a democratic president and administration, they wish those fail, no matter what the consequences, and they have also reversed their policies, Trump was allowed to spend whatever he wanted, and now they are ‘suddenly, again’ responsible and wait to ‘Make America Great Again, Again’ – the stupidity of the slogan that the cretin wants is relevant for what they are and wish for the future…yes, this is more than harsh, but I still think they deserve even more insults and condemnation for what they are doing, since they bring their plague upon all our houses…

 

To try and think of something positive and humorous, there is the conversation between General Milley and Speaker Nancy Pelosi, in which the latter repeats a few times ‘you know he is crazy’, when referring to the American president (such an impossible scenario, one would think, and yet, we have seen that this is a real possibility and the Mad Man can be elected again in 2024, making multitudes distrust democracy [if this is the result in the ‘greatest one’ it makes sense] and give up on the US) and asking what can be done to prevent him from using nuclear weapons…for ‘you know he is crazy and we saw what he has done’…
