Spoiler alert – this note will not mention the ending, which is quite clear from the start, given that more incredible, fantastic, preposterous antics would keep the imagination of reader challenged, but it is only fair to mention that the undersigned found that the old baron has too much in common with the Epidemiologist that leads the free world too let it do and thus this looks like it will be more – perhaps exclusively – about the Reborn Munchausen – after all, the Modern Day Pathological Liar has invented a new birth place for…his dad, after accusing Obama of being constitutionally unable to run in the elections, claiming falsely that his father was born in Germany

The idea of reading The Adventures of Baron Munchausen appears to be inspired, if one is under ten – albeit in this new age, the old ten could be just four – or the equivalent in emotional, traditional or electorally smartness, especially since this book is included on The Guardian’s 1,000 Novels Everyone Must Read list -  https://www.theguardian.com/books/2009/jan/23/bestbooks-fiction - in the Science Fiction and Fantasy section, or perhaps the War and Travel one…however, I am losing patience with the list and the separation is anyway artificial and they should add a ‘Children’s and Trump cult members’ Section, for books like this one.

Alas, if the Baron in the famous book – actually, much less famous than the film based on it, as it happens these days, when looking up for the original Adventures, one is forced to try a few times, for the searches keep giving the film version, which is no big deal in this case, but quite sad when the movie eclipses a much worthier work of art which had inspired the film in the first place – looks like a quite ridiculous, perhaps even amusing character, whose inventions entertain, what he projects is rather less harmless…

The hope is that this reader would go beyond the present preoccupation – some might and do call it obsession – with the pretentious leader of the free world, representative as we can see him of the Decadence of our society, a symbol of the Decaying of values, morals, ethics and the world at large, in a quite depressing, if perhaps correct reading….given that china, North Korea and other still communist dictatorships represent no good alternative – I have lived under communism and still feel the effects, which will be here long after I am gone, and can testify that George Orwell has painted an extremely accurate picture in both Animal Farm and 1984 of what happens in a socialist country, we were called, together with other ‘brotherly countries of the Warsaw pact’ socialist, for amateurs of the doctrine…

From a celestial perspective, seen from the distant future, Trump will probably look very much like Baron Munchausen, an inflated, pompous, absolutely ridiculous, if inoffensive – unless he blows up the world somehow, or his acolytes manage to place the disinfectant he thinks would cure the Covid 19 in the water or food that people drink – because the harm he will have done by the end of his tenure – I mean, he will die eventually and therefore, even if he takes power for life, there will be a biological, if not elected end – will be quite small in the Grand Scheme of Things…

As it is though, this reader could not resist the temptation to see that the Baron Munchausen is a small fish or small fry as they say, when compared with the American president , no less, with his stories of the lion and the crocodile, the feats he placed in the mouth of the wolf, animal which he uses somehow as a horse, after the wolf eats incredibly through a running quadruped, the bears, boars and multiple other animals defeated and killed – indeed, this is one big reason to reject this book, take it out of the list of recommended literature, for so many creatures are abhorrently eliminated…and yes, that was the spirit of the age, but presented in this context, it appears that there is not much wrong with that….which is quite what happens now in the ‘civilized world’ – Bill Maher was making a point (just like so many others) in attacking the industrial farms of America and other modern countries …

China is the place where the new pandemic has started and though they study the possibility that the virus might have escaped a laboratory, the idea that it was one of those ghastly markets where they keep and sell animals in abhorrent, inhumane, vicious, monstrous conditions that gave the world this potential Armageddon is more credible….yet, others do much the same in the way pigs are treated, Maher mentioned that 80% of those sacrificed for feeding the people are sick with pneumonia and ingest antibiotics that keep them alive for enough time to be slaughtered and placed on the tables, where men and women eat and thus get ever more resistant to treatment with antibiotics…

Incredible as the Munchausen tall tales are, with the expedition to the moon, the nectar he has had, the letters handwritten by the Empress of Russia no less, the closeness to the sun, which scorched his eyebrows – here’s another parallel with the Orange Fool in the White House, a man that paints his face and claims to be the ultimate macho – they seem to pale when set against what we read or hear on a regular basis from what used to be the Most Powerful Man on Earth – now that he appears to be in debt to Russia, which helped in the last election and is set to do so again, we may not be sure of the real control he has, first of all of himself, and then of the machine of government, which works chaotically, just like the man allegedly commanding it…

During the latest crisis – which is actually ongoing – America and the world needed not the Baron Munchausen, but someone like Angela Merkel, and instead, there is a man with Narcissistic Personality Disorder, who claims he is a ‘Very Stable Genius’ – which is the title of a very good book by the way, exposing the sham, the Con Artist - http://realini.blogspot.com/2020/02/a-very-stable-genius-by-carol-leonnig.html -

In the past few months, he went from claiming the virus will go away, it will be miraculously zero in no time, to saying he has the ‘absolute authority to do whatever he wants’ – a repeated claim that is fit for a dictator – then speaking about UV as a cure – which would result in skin cancer and not solve anything – and finally, the most recent atrocity – he has a knack to say the most Munchausenish idiocies possible – that people should try injecting – or getting it otherwise – disinfectant…which it turns out quite a number have been contemplating, calling medical services to see about it and surely have done it already, especially in his hard core constituencies…as for the latter, is that a bad thing?
