The
Manchurian Candidate is now in The White House and it is there, on all the
airwaves and internet news for all to see, unless, of course, they belong to
the MAGA cult, and then they are in denial – ‘oh, it is so great to attack
allies, and what about the price of eggs?’ which they were so obsessed about
under Biden
In the
Richard Condon novel, we have prisoners of war that have been used by the Soviets
– this is the Korean War – to become sleeper agents, through hypnosis and other
means, they would trigger a reaction, when a game of solitaire is suggested, and
the queen of spades is present, then they would become assassins

What
does this have to do with Orange Jesus?
Well, he has
not been trained by the Russians, not literally anyway, though he has swallowed
their propaganda and he shows so much gusto in regurgitating it, especially in
the tragic case of Ukraine, he accused their war hero of being a dictator, and
he does what Putin wants, as if he were a paid employee
In my mind,
there is no question this Orange Bastard is a Russian asset, if not a paid,
groomed one, not in Moscow of the czar, but in those tacky towers, the free
world is now controlled to some extent by this Absolute Moron, who acts like
one of those despots, reined in only by the system that he is dismantling these
days
This is a
leit motif, perhaps an obsession, but then it is the great danger we are facing,
albeit he is not the only threat, these days, I am worried by the fact that our
small company is facing bankruptcy, however difficult it is to make head or
tail of this, something my associate told me yesterday, to my horror
He has told
me that the company has lost more than one hundred thousand euros in the first
months of this year, and he will try to find solutions, did not tell me what
will be left, in the worst-case scenario, insisting that he has the most to
lose, indeed, he has 60% and I only hold 14%, but it is still scary, and
optimism is needed
To cap it
all, the spouse is not willing to comprehend all this, and then we have this
Manchurian Candidate, willing to give the game away to Putin, Eastern Europe is
not interesting for him, he wants Canada, Greenland, Panama, Gaza and then we
will see what gets the attention of this stupid narcissistic monster
Stoicism may
be the name of the game https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2024/11/moral-essays-de-providentia-de.html and there is a need to remember wise
words from Seneca and the other luminaries, even when not facing turbulence –
‘be happy with what you have, it is not what happens, but what you make of what
happens that matters’
“We suffer
more in imagination than in reality.” “A gem cannot be polished without
friction, nor a man perfected without trials.” “It’s not that we have a short
time to live, but that we waste much of it.” So why worry, when we could be
Panglossian and besides, we need to have a Strategy as explained in the classic
The How of
Happiness https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/01/the-how-of-happiness-by-sonja.html has ‘Happiness Activity No 6:
Developing Strategies for Coping-practicing ways to endure or surmount hardship
or trauma’ so we have ways
Now for my
standard closing of the note with a question, and invitation – maybe you have a
good idea on how we could make more than a million dollars with this https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2025/02/is-this-unique-could-it-make-money.html – as it is, this is a unique
technique, which we could promote, sell, open the Oscars show with or something
and then make lots of money together, if you have the how, I have the product,
I just do not know how to get the befits from it, other than the exercise per
se
There is also the small matter of working for
AT&T – this huge company asked me to be its Representative for Romania and
Bulgaria, on the Calling Card side, which meant sailing into the Black Sea wo
meet the US Navy ships, travelling to Sofia, a lot of activity, using my
mother’s two bedrooms flat as office and warehouse, all for the grand total of
$250, raised after a lot of persuasion to the staggering $400…with retirement
ahead, there are no benefits, nothing…it is a longer story, but if you can help
get the mastodont to pay some dues, or have an idea how it can happen, let me
know
As for my
role in the Revolution that killed Ceausescu, a smaller Mao, there it is http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/realini-in-newsweek-participant-in.html
Some
favorite quotes from To The Hermitage and other works
‘Fiction is
infinitely preferable to real life...As long as you avoid the books of Kafka or
Beckett, the everlasting plot of fiction has fewer futile experiences than the
careless plot of reality...Fiction's people are fuller, deeper, cleverer, more
moving than those in real life…Its actions are more intricate, illuminating,
noble, profound…There are many more dramas, climaxes, romantic fulfillment,
twists, turns, gratified resolutions…Unlike reality, all of this you can
experience without leaving the house or even getting out of bed…What's more,
books are a form of intelligent human greatness, as stories are a higher order
of sense…As random life is to destiny, so stories are to great authors, who
provided us with some of the highest pleasures and the most wonderful
mystifications we can find…Few stories are greater than Anna Karenina, that
wise epic by an often foolish author…’
