Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx, Friedrich Engels – I was more than chagrined to find this awful work at number 192 on the new list of Greatest Books of All Time, using an unbeatable algorithm, supposedly – nonetheless, this is on my list of top 10 most awful opera, this is what I do, in reaction to it http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/02/unique-in-world.html?q=unique+in+the+world - 1 out of 10

‘be a merit finder, not a fault finder’ this is one of the
precepts that lead to success https://realini.blogspot.com/2023/09/the-secret-of-our-success-how-culture.html
at least in some ways, so let us say that this work has had an impact, made
people aware that there were (still are) appalling injustices in the world
It is not fair that what, one percent of humanity owes seventy
percent, or some such terrible figure, I think it is even worse when you get
more specific, as in there are a few thousand billionaires, and they have not
the seventy, but still a huge proportion of the valuables on this world, if we
see property as valuable
The Dalai Lama https://realini.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-path-to-tranquility-by-dalai-lama.html
will insist that it is not the material that matters, indeed, you reach Nirvana
when you have no more cravings, those are the source of suffering and the Dalai
Lama has entered a supermarket and said ‘wow, so many things I do not need’
Nonetheless, I searched this site which was mentioned and
praised (was it, or is it just my memory of the memory, as Hugh Grant says in
Heretic, better in my mind than Gladiator II, and most of the films nominated
for the Golden Globes, which are awarded tonight) in The Economist, and there
is no mention of the Dalai Lama
Hence, the communist doctrine is more influential (this must
have been one of the most prominent criteria in compiling the GOAT list) than
the Buddhist one, albeit entering Buddha to check, there are a few titles in
this list, ranked much lower, and more in the commercial vein, such as The
Buddha of The Suburbia
Evidently, we do not have to take this, or any other
compilation as the holy scripture, as evident from the title, in my book, The Communist
Manifesto is not only banished from any ‘best list’, but it would be there with
the preachings of these Taliban, ISIS fanatics, monsters that have killed
again, just a few days ago…
Furthermore, I took part in the 1989 Revolution that deposed
Ceausescu, one of the worst tyrants in history, a result of the Communist
Manifesto if you will, and in that same allegory, I actually fought against the
Spirit of this Damn Book, which still has this nefarious, pernicious, ghastly
influence in so much of the world
You could argue that China is actually a capitalist country,
controlled by a despot and his clique, then there is also that stupid (to me) reply
‘oh, but it was just implemented in the wrong way, communism is such a
generous, humane doctrine’, and retorting this is bulshit would just make it
look as if the commies win
Look at China and what Mao did, Stalin and the others, North
Korea, Would you settle in Cuba, and the rest of these realms that have
embraced the ‘munificent system’, read Animal Farm https://realini.blogspot.com/2022/01/animal-farm-by-george-orwell-magnum.html
to better understand the reality
Fortunately, Animal Farm is at 61 on this GOAT list, and the
truth of ‘all animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others’
is obvious for those of us who have had the ‘privilege’ to test the Communist
Manifesto in real life, with no freedom, living in cold, queues for bread and
anything else, items we could only discover after 1989
You can meet the nostalgic, there is this fellow who comes
at sauna downtown, talking of how he had the food he wanted (he is no yogi, a
fatso actually) heat, and all, but he does not say what he did, as in some apparatchik,
nomenclature fellow, wealthy now, for the capitalist system is no heaven,
clearly, it is a bad time for us
I mean, the spouse (we just live together, otherwise we hate
each other I guess) spends like there is no tomorrow, when I said that due to
the price of gas, the German items we import and distribute are so expensive, clients
do not buy them anymore, ergo, we need to cut down, but what she does is insult
me as ‘being cheap’
After the Revolution, there have been many challenges, but I
am proud of my role, this is the link to the article in which I am mentioned,
published in Newsweek (then one of the best in the world) and covering the
events that lead to the overthrow of the regime http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/realini-in-newsweek-participant-in.html
Lile in a Zen story, I met the first Miss Romania in the now
freed country, and she was my girlfriend for about six months or so, it is
tempting to say like Queen ‘one year of love is better than a lifetime
without’, only what about half a year, does that count, is it enough? Nonetheless,
the continuation may highlight the flaws of capitalism
Her mother thought Miss Romania has acquired such prestige,
superb status that noblesse oblige, ergo she could not accept such scum, and
she was infuriated when told about the intimacy (to begin with, there was
lying, a pretense that I am just like what today she would call her gay friend)
but after I was out of the picture, Armageddon…
Of a sort, the mother was such a proud figure, Miss married
a wealthy fellow, only to find that this fortune was embezzled (I do not think
I ever knew, or wanted to find what exactly was the felony) and eventually,
this rich husband went to jail – we would meet and I would flaunt my (legally acquired)
SUV and high (if alas, temporary) status
Now for my standard closing of the note with a question, and
invitation – maybe you have a good idea on how we could make more than a
million dollars with this http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/02/unique-in-world.html?q=unique+in+the+world
– as it is, this is a unique technique, which we could promote, sell, open the
Oscars show with or something and then make lots of money together, if you have
the how, I have the product, I just do not know how to get the befits from it,
other than the exercise per se
There is also the
small matter of working for AT&T – this huge company asked me to be its
Representative for Romania and Bulgaria, on the Calling Card side, which meant
sailing into the Black Sea wo meet the US Navy ships, travelling to Sofia, a
lot of activity, using my mother’s two bedrooms flat as office and warehouse,
all for the grand total of $250, raised after a lot of persuasion to the
staggering $400…with retirement ahead, there are no benefits, nothing…it is a
longer story, but if you can help get the mastodont to pay some dues, or have
an idea how it can happen, let me know
As for my role in the Revolution that killed Ceausescu, a
smaller Mao, there it is http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/realini-in-newsweek-participant-in.html
Some favorite quotes from To The Hermitage and other works
‘Fiction is infinitely preferable to real life...As long as
you avoid the books of Kafka or Beckett, the everlasting plot of fiction has
fewer futile experiences than the careless plot of reality...Fiction's people
are fuller, deeper, cleverer, more moving than those in real life…Its actions
are more intricate, illuminating, noble, profound…There are many more dramas,
climaxes, romantic fulfillment, twists, turns, gratified resolutions…Unlike
reality, all of this you can experience without leaving the house or even
getting out of bed…What's more, books are a form of intelligent human
greatness, as stories are a higher order of sense…As random life is to destiny,
so stories are to great authors, who provided us with some of the highest
pleasures and the most wonderful mystifications we can find…Few stories are
greater than Anna Karenina, that wise epic by an often foolish author…’
