The Holy Bible, New and Old Testaments by Anonymous – another look at the fundamental book is at https://realinibarzoi.blogspot.com/2024/11/the-holy-bible-by-anonymous-perhaps.html

10 out of 10, if any other rating is dared, damnation follows, right?

I have seen Heretic the other day, and it was damn good – oops, this is not the appropriate language for the Holy Book ‘review’, but then this is already a red flag, if you are an evangelical, therefore voted for Orange Jesus, then you should avoid this corner, Beelzebub has been interfering, most likely – with plenty of religious talk

Hugh Grant is fabulous as the villainous, heretical, horrifying Mr. Reed (quite a change from the days when the thespian was typecasted as the romantic lead) indeed, he was nominated for a Golden Globe for this role, in which he explains some…religious aspects, and from an insignificant horror movie, this becomes a

-          Provocative, challenging work

The Heretic explains he has studied religions, incidentally, our own Mircea Eliade https://realini.blogspot.com/2014/09/maitreyi-by-mircea-eliade.html if we can make such a preposterous claim, was honored as the ultimate expert on religions, now I read books by Karen Armstrong

Mr. Reed says the three major, monotheistic religions, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, have elements in common with…board games, he explains that there used to be a game, called Landlord, that preceded Monopoly, only a couple of clever, ruthless men took the idea, changed little, then made millions with a replica, or

-          Iteration, a word Heretic uses at least a couple of times

There is another parallel, with songs by The Hollies’ 1974, the single ‘The Air That I Breathe’, then Radiohead’s ‘Creep’, the chorus of which Grant then sings a snatch of…’I’m a creep, a weirdo’, the point being that Radiohead seems to have taken from The Hollies the song, then maybe plagiarized and there was a legal dispute

It is passed on to Lana del Rey, or there was a claim, however, to stick to religion, Christianity and Islam are based on Judaism, they are ‘iterations’, in some interpretations, this film is good in that it does not put a target on religion, and then Heretic takes shots, there is a dispute, one of the girls disputes what the host says…he explains why there are only 0.2% in the Judaic faith, that is because they do not proselytize, they do not sell it…

Furthermore, Mr. Reed talks about the background, the fact that there had been ‘divine’ (?) figures before Christ, claiming to have resurrected, a few even had the date of December 25 attached to them, and I have read this in Slouching Towards Kalamazoo https://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/slouching-towards-kalamazoo-by-peter-de.html

Peter de Vries is an excellent writer – vouched by Kinglsey Amis – and he says this ‘The Church took over its chief rival, the Persian cult of Mithras...who was the Sun God, whose birth was witnessed by shepherds, and who was annually commemorated with a ceremonial meal’ iteration, to quote Heretic again

Nevertheless, I am experiencing a conversion – of some kind – due to activity at the gym, there is the ‘runner’s high’, the notion that when pressured, the human body, in particular the brain, releases a cocktail of endorphins, oxytocin, serotonin and what not, as an adaptation, we had to run in pre-history to hunt, or avoid being prey

-          Ergo, I am beginning to see things, even believe that I am ‘Discovering’ new concepts, regarding Flow https://realini.blogspot.com/2016/10/flow-by-mihaly-csikszentmihalyi-this-is.html extasy, illumination…

They seem to have so much in common, if they are not one and the same thing Flow, Love, Revelation, Nirvana, Happiness, there is a thread going through these, and maybe, with time, I will be able to find the Connection

-          One starting point could be the line from the Talmud mind your thoughts, they become words, mind your words, for they become acts, careful with acts, since they get to be habits, habits form character, and character is you

Thus, if you work on character strengths, then you become virtuoso, and maybe Socrates said ‘the virtuous man is a happy man’ you find in The How of Happiness https://realini.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-how-of-happiness-by-sonja.html by Sonja Lyubomirsky, and other such great works, that the rules of Happiness connect with character

Even better, Positivity has elements that you find in the How of Happiness, there is a way to Flow, there are rules for that too, and Everything That Rises Must Converge https://realini.blogspot.com/2014/02/everything-that-rises-must-converge-by.html Flow is in some ways the equivalent of Nirvana

I am still working at this hugely important (hahaha) theory, so more enlightment in future notes, Nirvana is more ‘passive’, while Flow presupposes an intensity – challenges meet expectations, but you do have challenges, in Nirvana, everything has stopped, no more cravings…

Now for my standard closing of the note with a question, and invitation – maybe you have a good idea on how we could make more than a million dollars with this http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/02/unique-in-world.html?q=unique+in+the+world – as it is, this is a unique technique, which we could promote, sell, open the Oscars show with or something and then make lots of money together, if you have the how, I have the product, I just do not know how to get the befits from it, other than the exercise per se

There is also the small matter of working for AT&T – this huge company asked me to be its Representative for Romania and Bulgaria, on the Calling Card side, which meant sailing into the Black Sea wo meet the US Navy ships, travelling to Sofia, a lot of activity, using my mother’s two bedrooms flat as office and warehouse, all for the grand total of $250, raised after a lot of persuasion to the staggering $400…with retirement ahead, there are no benefits, nothing…it is a longer story, but if you can help get the mastodont to pay some dues, or have an idea how it can happen, let me know

As for my role in the Revolution that killed Ceausescu, a smaller Mao, there it is http://realini.blogspot.com/2022/03/realini-in-newsweek-participant-in.html

Some favorite quotes from To The Hermitage and other works

‘Fiction is infinitely preferable to real life...As long as you avoid the books of Kafka or Beckett, the everlasting plot of fiction has fewer futile experiences than the careless plot of reality...Fiction's people are fuller, deeper, cleverer, more moving than those in real life…Its actions are more intricate, illuminating, noble, profound…There are many more dramas, climaxes, romantic fulfillment, twists, turns, gratified resolutions…Unlike reality, all of this you can experience without leaving the house or even getting out of bed…What's more, books are a form of intelligent human greatness, as stories are a higher order of sense…As random life is to destiny, so stories are to great authors, who provided us with some of the highest pleasures and the most wonderful mystifications we can find…Few stories are greater than Anna Karenina, that wise epic by an often foolish author…’

‚Parturiunt montes, nascetur ridiculus mus’

“From Monty Python - The Meaning of Life...Well, it's nothing very special...Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.”
